Who are Hummingbird Drinks?

Hummingbird Drinks is a new and exciting Ready To Drink Cocktail compaby based out of Northumberland. We like to push the boundaries of cocktails so we offer something a little different to the usual drinks you would on supermarket shelves.

Why Hummingbird?

Hummingbird was founded when Chris, one half of Hummingbird was creating a pop up event with his wife Becca. When trying to brand the night, Chris came across a photo of Becca and her dads matching hummingbird Tattoo’s. So out of homage to them both, Hummingbird was created.

Why have we not heard of your cocktails until now?

One of the big things for Chris is to push people taste buds and comfort zones. That is the reason we try to stay clear of “popular” cocktails. Both in our RTD drinks as well as the cocktail menu in the bar.

Who do I get in touch with for a general chat about Hummingbird and cocktails?

You say you use Premium ingredients? Can you tell us who?

Of course! We strive on transparency as we wouldn’t put anything in our cocktails we wouldn’t drink ourselves! The gin we use comes straight from Hepple, a fantastic gin company thats from Northumberland. The story, ethos and liquid is the exact reason we use them. We also use Black Bottle as our whisky, Havana Club as our rum and the liqueurs we use vary between Giffard or Briottet. We use bar quality ingredients to give you a bar quality cocktail!

Do your cocktails have an expiry date?

All our cocktails come with a best 12 month before date. They don’t particularly expire but after 12 months we cannot guarantee colour and flavour as with all ingredients, they do deteriorate over time. Where can I find ingredients and allergens for your cocktails?

All of the ingredients including allergens are listed on the product pages within the shop. There you can see exactly whats in our drinks.

How do we store the cocktails?

We advise keeping them out of direct sunlight as UV can deteriorate colour within the drinks. A cool dark place is advised but we strongly recommend keeping them in the fridge…. for one simple reason, when you’re in the mood for a cocktail, its already chilled down!

Do I need an account to order?

No you don’t, if you would like to create an account, you’re more than welcome do. When creating an account, Squarespace can store card and delivery details to make the checkout process for future purchases faster and more efficient.

Will I need ID to receive delivery of our cocktails?

Possibly. When purchasing from our website you are confirming that you are over 18 and are of legal drinking age. Some of our couriers may still ask for ID or proof of age so please make sure you are in to take delivery and that no minors can take receipt.

Will I need ID for collecting?

Yes, to prove you are the person who has in-fact ordered the product, any staff member will need to see ID when collecting. If you cant collect the item and need someone else to collect on your behalf, please email us at hello@hummingbirddrinks.co.uk so we can update the system. We also have a challenge 25 policy in the bar so you may be asked for proof of age when collecting your item.

Could we order bulk options or 100ml options for wedding favours and drinks receptions?

Yes of course, we would love to be part of your big day! Please email us at hello@hummingbirddrinks.co.uk and we can talk through pricing options, flavours and potentially white label so you can have your own personal labels.

Can you cater drinks for our events?

Yes, due to the nature of our business we can provide large quantities of bottles for larger scale events. These can work as gifts, drink receptions, welcome drinks or toast drinks.

Do you do any corporate gifting?

Yes we can provide gift boxes for corporate gifts. We can either take delivery or products with your branding or we can do black gift boxes then ship direct to your clients or staff.

We want to do something a little different for our clients, do you have any ideas?

Of course! one of the things Chris in particular has done in the past is zoom and teams corprate tasting events! It means if you have clients all around the UK we can create an online. virtual cocktail tasting class. We will ship the bottles out to your clients and set the virtual meeting up. From there we can host a tasting session where we talk about the cocktails. How to pour and how to drink them!
